This is urban camping at its best. We stayed here because of the close proximity to DC and Baltimore, and we weren't disappointed. It was a quick, easy drive to the Greenbelt station. The wi-fi was a fast connection, the laundry was clean and spacious, the clubhouse was very nice, and the pools were fabulous. We only ran across very nice and helpful staff. The spots are close, but we were in a nice back in spot with trees. The playground was very nice and well maintained. There is some noise from the highway, and our TV picture was a little fuzzy with the cable. Overall this is a great place to park to be close to anything and everything in this area. We were there over the 4th of July, and the park was very full. It still seemed very well run. We will definitely go back to this campground.

Good campground to overnight in. It is close to the interstate without a lot of road noise. Some of the sites are very close to each other-our slide was up against the neighbors awning. The site was not level. The wi-fi was adequate. The pool was well maintained, and the staff was friendly.

This campground is right off of the interstate. There is some road noise, but we could not hear anything over the air conditioner. The site was level. We could not get the wi-fi to work. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was nice, and there is a small playground. There is some construction around the entrance to the campground, and that could cause some problems with people trying to get in and out. This is a good spot to overnight.

Our site was level, and the campground is well maintained. The office staff was very friendly. The pool and playground were adequate. The camp was convenient to all Williamsburg area sites that one might want to visit. This was a quiet location- I did not notice any highway noise. We would stay here again.

This is a very nice full hookup campground in a rural park setting, yet it is only a 40 minute train ride from Grand Central Station. The train station is very close and convenient. The park was well maintained, and the staff was friendly. All spots appeared to be well shaded. The playground was nice. The pool was not open while we were there, but it is very large. A number of TV channels can be picked up with an antennae. It was nice to come back to a rural setting like this after being in the city all day. We would camp here again.

Very nice campground off of the highway. We just spent one night here, but this would be a place that was great for more than an overnight. The camp is very well maintained. The wi-fi was fast, the pool and playground were well cared for, and the sites were level and well spaced. It did not seem like you were right on top of your neighbor. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We just overnighted at this campground. Our site was very unlevel with an extreme down slope. We did not have a 30 amp plug on our site's electric box and had to plug into another site's box. There were lots of seasonal campers parked here. The pool was full of kids from a church in town, so our kids did not get to swim.

Adequate for a one night stay while on the road. Sites were level and pull through. The guard lights were way to bright, and it seemed like daylight all night long.

This was our first time staying at this state park, and we can't wait to be able to return. The location is beautiful. The trails were nicely maintained, and the wildlife was abundant. This is a great spot to stay while exploring the area around Fort Davis. You feel like you are truly away from it all, but you are close enough to town if you need to run in and get something. Each campsite has a fire ring and a covered picnic table. The facilities were all very nice and well maintained.

This campground was just as nice as I expected it to be. Our site pad was slightly unlevel, but the site was well set up with a table and grill. The cable service had a good variety of channels, and the transportation system served us very well. We had no problem adding an extra night to our stay. The sites were not as private as I expected in our loop -500, but we were not there much. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Disney.

We had a nice pull through site. The trees could pose a problem in some spots. The campground was very full over the holiday weekend, but it was still very peaceful. This was a very convenient place for us to stay. The pool was well maintained, as well as the laundry areas. I would stay here again, but I would request a pull through.

Fantastic! This was just as great a park as everyone says. We were in site 108, and it was a level pull-through with a great view. The tram to the beach was on time, and when a storm came in the rangers very quickly got everyone off of the beach. We are already talking about making the long drive from Texas to stay here again.

This is a beautiful park to stay in. The trees could pose a problem in getting in to some campsites, but if you choose your spot carefully you should be ok. Our 34 foot 5th wheel fit into our spot on Shark's Eye very nicely. The beach area was wonderful, and the internet access at Island Joe's was fast and a pleasant surprise. The grounds were well maintained. For the price, this beautiful area is a bargain.

This is a great state park. The grounds are very well maintained, and our back-in site was level and easy to get in to. Some of the sites in the first area looked a little tricky with the trees. The bathhouse by the river looked new, and it was very nice and clean. The wifi service was excellent. This was a good location for us to stay in and make a quick trip into New Orleans. The surrounding area was a nice area.

Nice spot for a quick overnight stop. The spots up front could be a little noisy since they are right next to a truck stop parking area. Our pull through was level and easy to get in to. I would stop there again.

This is a nice spot for an overnight stopping place. We had our pick of spots, and they are paved and level. The pool is a public pool across the road, and we pulled in after it was closed. There are also laundry facilities in the restroom building.

We had very mixed feelings about this park. Our site was unlevel. It was supposed to be a pull through spot, but if you pulled through you had a difficult time clearing a tree, a parked trailer, and the electric hookup box. It took us almost 2 hours to get into this spot. The problem could have been avoided if the lady in the office had told us it was just better to back in. The spots were well shaded, and the facilities that we had access to were very nice. We did not have a view of the lake, nor are the spots on the lake, but you are in easy walking distance of the lake, boat ramps, boat dock, and swimming pool. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. When I called to ask for another spot because ours was horribly unlevel, the lady offered to send maintenance the next day with a dozer and gravel. We were also told there was not another available spot, but watched several sit vacant for the remaining time we were there. Nice and friendly is a positive, but it is also good if the correct information comes with that. When you pull in to register at the main office, there is also a steep hill that the rear end of your trailer will probably drag on. You have to be very careful pulling in. All in all this is not a bad spot, but it could be a lot better.

What a find this campground was. We just used it for an overnight stop, but it would be a great place to spend a few days at. We came in on a Sunday after the crowds had left, so it was nice and quiet. The sites are easy to get into. Our pull through was not level, but the area is paved and easy to move through. The kids enjoyed walking along the path around the pond, and the scenery is wonderful. It seems well maintained, and we would not hesitate to stop here again on our way through the area.

This was a beautiful campground. We used it as a base camp to visit Baltimore and Washington DC. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to the Shady Grove metro station, so it may not be the closest campground to DC, but it was very nice. The sites were not very level, and the wifi service was spotty, but the grounds were well maintained. I used the laundry here, and it was small but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our kids enjoyed the different play areas. There are a lot of seasonal campers parked here, but the majority of our time here was during the week, and the camp was very quiet. We plan to stay here again when visiting the area.

We had a full hookup site up on the hill, and it was beautiful. The sites were wide and easy to back into. Our site was level, and it was very nice to have wooded areas seperating you from your neighbors. We did not have any problems going up the hill-the road was well maintained and paved. Most of our stay here was during the week, and the camp was very quiet and fairly empty. On Friday afternoon it filled up, and there was a lot more activity going on. We did not have much interaction with the staff, but everyone seemed friendly. This was a great place to stay and see the area from. The wifi service that they now have was terrible. The first night we were able to connect for free. The second day we had no signal, and when we did get a signal on the third day it wanted to charge us. When we tried to register it kept rejecting us. That was my only complaint about the park. I would recommend it to others.

This is a very nice RV park. We just overnighted here, but it is in a convenient location if you wanted to visit Nashville from here. The staff was very friendly. They did have a hard time finding my reservation that had been made online. The only real problem we had was that when we walked the kids up to the pool to swim, the gate was already chained up for the night. There was not a closing time for the pool listed on anything, so this was a bit of a surprise. There is a nice play area for kids though. The sites seem to be well maintained, and we had no other problems. I would stay here again.

This park is located off of the interstate in a nice area. The staff was very friendly. We came in on a Saturday, so the park was pretty full. Our site was not very level, and the hookups were not in a very good location. The area in front of the trailer's door was not flat. The campground itself is well maintained. The grounds were pretty. The wifi worked well. This was a good overnight spot for us.

This is a lovely campground right off of I-30. We overnighted here and look forward to another stop on the way home. The sites are shaded, and the camp is just beautiful. The owners are very friendly and escorted us to our site. There is a fishing pond and a swimming pool. The playground area could use some repairs, but otherwise this was a great family campground. Everything else was very well maintained. Even though it is right on the interstate, the noise was minimal.

This campground is very well run. The area is very clean, and the camp is very quiet. We had someone show us to our site, and he helped my husband back in. We used this as a base to visit San Antonio and the surrounding area. There are some fixed residences, but everything is very well maintained. We were worried about having our two small kids in the campground, but we were made to feel welcome. It is family friendly, but there is not a play area for small kids. In the winter months they have a large population of Winter Texans. We would stay here again since it is in such a nice location.
